Legal practice management pricing — per firm, not per person.
CounselOS pricing is firm-level: a two-person practice pays for a two-person firm, not per seat. Monthly or annual billing (10% off annual), trust accounting and governed AI by tier, and month-to-month terms on self-serve plans — no exit fees.
All prices in AUD, GST inclusive. No setup fees. No per-matter fees on Solo, Small, or Mid unless you choose the per-matter option below.
Plans describe the product roadmap. Monthly and annual billing are available for self-serve tiers; some items (portal payments, live research publishers, bank feeds) follow your firm’s onboarding and sign-off.

Or pay per matter.
Some firms have a handful of high-value matters per quarter. Per-matter pricing lets you bill the platform cost as a disbursement: the client pays.
$49 per active matter, billed monthly. No minimum. No fee earner caps. Includes everything in the Solo tier.
EXAMPLE
A conveyancer with 8 active matters in a quarter pays $49 × 8 = $392/month. Each is on-billed to the client as a disbursement at cost.
Effective cost to your firm: zero.
Pricing questions
Is pricing per user or per firm?
Per firm. Solo, Small, Mid, and Enterprise tiers include fee earner limits — you are not charged per seat the way many US platforms work.
Is CounselOS suitable for small law firms?
Yes. Solo and Small tiers target sole practitioners and firms with roughly two to eight fee earners, with per-firm pricing and governed AI included by tier. See our page for small law firms for workflows and pain points.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade when your matter volume or team size changes. Annual billing saves 10%; month-to-month is available without exit fees on self-serve tiers.
What is included in the free trial?
You get a firm workspace with sample or imported data, governed AI assists within your tier limits, and access to migration assessment if you are leaving FilePro or LawMaster. Live bank feeds and publisher research require onboarding sign-off.
Is CounselOS suitable for migration agents or immigration law firms?
Immigration workflows and OMARA client-money tooling are enabled per firm or agency after onboarding — not on every account by default. Immigration law firms and registered migration agents should confirm scope in a demo.
Does the per-matter option replace a subscription?
It is an alternative for very low matter counts — $49 per active matter per month, with Solo-tier features. Most firms with steady workflows choose a monthly firm tier for predictability.
